Well now. It's unusual for the weather to stop us...ummm.... cold (pardon the expression), but today we have a snow day. Here's a link to what it looks like in my town: NIU Weather. It's fairly boring, because the camera is covered in snow. The camera is not on the ground. There's a freakin' lot of snow here.
So, I'm taking this day to do some Christmas decorating and to make cookies for the dear, wonderful, lovely neighbors who shoveled my driveway. Here are the trees on my street:
Stay warm, dear ones.

Stay warm? It's 70 freakin' degrees here.
70 degrees on December 1 is just WRONG.
You're welcome to send those temperatures back our way. I'm sure nobody here would mind: especially the half-million or so that are still without power.
Did you lose power? If you do, you should call. If we have power, we have plenty of room for an extra person. Well, we have the room irrespective of whether or not we have power, but... you know what I mean.
No, not me. But lots of people in Rockford and Champaign did. I just lost Internet access and cable for a while.
